There are plenty of opportunities to learn and social dance the lindy hop, balboa, collegiate shag, vernacular jazz, and blues in and around Norwich.

Swingymabob
Join us for fun and friendly weekly Lindy Hop classes, taught by a rotating team of dancers at the Canary Social Club on Thorpe Road, Norwich. Beginners class 7-8pm and Improvers 8.30-9.30pm on most Tuesday evenings.

Rhythm and Grace
Balboa and Swing with Claire Grace every Wednesday 7-10pm at the Louis Marchesi pub (Tombland, Norwich), and Solo Charleston & Vernacular Jazz every Saturday, at the Wensum Community Centre (Hotblack Road, Norwich), 11.30-12.30. Look out for the Rhythm and Grace Monday Medley series of various dance styles and guest teachers at Silver Road Community Centre (Silver Road, Norwich) 7-8.45pm on Mondays.

This one is for you if you’re up for a solo dance challenge and enjoy performing! Solo charleston and vernacular jazz taught by Tracey and Claire, under the guidance of legendary dancer, teacher and performer Jenny Thomas (of 'Strictly' fame!).

Fine City Swing monthly social dances
We hold a monthly social event with tea, cake and friendly faces, welcoming a new DJ each time in a handy city-centre location.

There is no need to book a place in advance, and no minimum level of dancing ability or experience is required, just turn up for fun times and great music: It's a great way to exercise and meet new people.
These are usually the 2nd Sunday of each month at the Chantry Hall, Chantry Road, Norwich NR2 1QR, from 3:30 - 6:30pm. Tickets are £8 (cash/card) unless specific events state otherwise.
