FCS Christmas Party 2026

It's Christmas!

The Fine City Swing Christmas Dance returns on Sunday 13th December 2026 (3 - 7pm)

This year, coming down from London town, we are thrilled to welcome the fabulous

Harry Evans & His Flying Squirrels!

Harry Evans is a talented multi-instrumentalist, playing his trumpet, double bass and sousaphone all over the dancing world, performing with bands like the Shirt Tail Stompers, the Cable Street Rag Band, and Alex Mendham & His Orchestra. With his own band, Harry and his Flying Squirrels have become a regular feature and firm favourite on the swing scene, and recent gigs include London's Jamboree and the Cambridge Lindy Exchange 2026. Our Fine City Swing scouts had a blast with these guys at London's Limehouse Town Hall and they immediately went on our Christmas List!

Harry brings his Flying Squirrels to Norfolk (his home county!) for the first time - and what a celebration it will be! As a keen swing dancer, Harry knows how to keep the dance floor packed and these Squirrels will provide at least two sets of classics tailored for Lindy Hop, Shag, and Balboa dancers. Equally, you can just chill with a drink and our festive treats, enjoying their 1930s and 1940s jazz and swing in a style reminiscent of Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong's All-Stars. We think there's no better band to jingle your festive bells!

In support and on the decks, we are delighted to welcome back a Fine City favourite

DJ David 'The Mailman' Willis.

He may no longer take our letters to Father Christmas but he is guaranteed to deliver party crackers all afternoon (maybe even still in his shorts!).

And of course, it wouldn't be a Fine City Swing Christmas dance without mince pies, treats, sparkle and a sprinkling of festive surprises!
